Confirm the appliance is free

The water supply, drain hose, electrical connection, leveling feet, and cabinet fasteners all need attention before the dishwasher can slide out. Use the appropriate qualified person for plumbing or electrical work.

Check the top and side mounting points. Do not force the appliance against the countertop or flooring.

Empty and dry the tub

Remove racks, utensil baskets, filters, and loose accessories. Drain visible water and contain the ends of disconnected hoses.

A few ounces left in a low hose loop can still spill when the machine tilts. Keep towels nearby.

  • Racks removed
  • Basket removed
  • Tub dry
  • Hoses contained
  • Power cord secured

Protect the floor and cabinet edges

Use a mat or thin floor protection under the front feet before sliding. Watch the countertop edge, adjacent cabinet faces, and the transition from kitchen flooring to the hall.

Stage useful hardware

Bag mounting screws and model-specific brackets if the appliance may be reused. For disposal, keep sharp fasteners out of the tub and away from carry points.
